The 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season officially kicked off on the morning of June 24th with the formation of Tropical Storm Andrea, a small and very weak system that was one of the most northerly forming named Atlantic storms in the month of June ever recorded. She was an extremely short-lived storm, holding on to tropical cyclone status for a mere 12 hours. This made Andrea the shortest-lived “A” name Atlantic storm since at least 1978.
